AALTO part of IYO achieves a new milestone with Michelin Star
AALTO – part of IYO anchored to seasonality and sustainability, contemporaneity and traditionality provides a diverse experience for all it’s customers. It’s the passion and authenticity that has led AALTO – part of IYO to achieve a new milestone by being awarded with its first Michelin star in the 66th edition of the Michelin Guide Italy 2021.
AALTO – part of IYO is located on the first floor of the Solaria Tower, in the Porta Nuova district, a symbol of an increasingly cosmopolitan city, open and projected into the future.
Claudio Liu appointed Chef Takeshi Iwai, Japanese by birth and in Italy for 13 years, as his signature for the kitchen of AALTO – part of IYO. Both interpret the profession without prejudice of style, geography, concept and pursue an open, authentic, contemporary kitchen.
“The kitchen of AALTO – part of IYO is free, from any definition” says Claudio Liu. it is precisely on the idea of a cuisine without labels and in continuous evolution that the entrepreneur Liu and Chef Iwai immediately found an important elective affinity.A rigorous cuisine in its jumping between different worlds, in its action strongly anchored to seasonality and sustainability. In its being simple, fresh and elegant, without ostentation. Yet always free, strongly free.
“I thank the prestigious Michelin Guide for having awarded the new AALTO project – part of IYO, to which I particularly care, and for the renewed trust in recent years in my first sign, IYO Experience” says Claudio and concludes “This award is a certificate important to me and to my restaurant team. I especially thank Chef Takeshi Iwai, together I hope to be able to reach new and important goals, while respecting shared values.”
