Studio X presents ‘Resin Utopia: Beyond Materiality’ in partnership with research-based gallery Movimento and Gobbetto during Milan Design Week, with the support of Domingo, in collaboration with Domingo Ground and Futuresigns at Domingo Ground — Communication Research Laboratory.  Studio X is showcasing their latest design creations that demonstrate the possibilities of resin as a material. Each object is crafted by hand, and as such, every step of the process is a reflection of the designer’s vision and the artisan’s instincts and skills. The whole creative process is extremely unique, bold, and innovative, with a distinct approach to materiality.

The new objects, one of a kind and one different from the other, are born from a skilful manual skill through which avant-garde complements live, where planning and in-depth study of the material are accomplices of an aesthetic that translates the union between art and design. An example of this is Venus, Studio X’s iconic vase, which interprets Greek-Roman drapery where hand-molded material lives in fluid forms and shadows, in a play of movement capable of transferring body and softness to a material that by assumption is extremely resistant. Satin or shiny, small or large, the vase becomes the protagonist of the environment and a distinctive element of the furniture.experimentation does not stop and so Sofia was born, a mirror in which is reflected and deposited the manual expertise of Studio X, where the three-dimensional frame combined with the play of light, gives new life to the resin.

The exasperation of the object has led Federico Senesi and Michele Strammiello to create new forms, to explore new dimensions up to the creation of scenic and flashy objects. The understanding and the ability to manipulate the material, has allowed the two creatives to be able to customize, both in sizes and in finishes the objects offering the possibility to fulfill every desire of the customers.The various collaborations, made with both famous fashion brands and design companieshave made the signature of Studio X internationally recognized and protagonist of the Milanese appointment Fuorisalone.
