Tenuta Tenaglia Limited Edition Calendar for Aboubakar Soumahoro
Historic Tenuta Tenaglia winery inaugurates its “Tenuta Tenaglia Residence” project, a creative space that welcomes and produces artistic projects by international designers and talents for charitable purposes. The main aim of this project is to build a network of young entrepreneurs and creatives who share strong ethical and social awareness. Tenuta Tenaglia is led by Isabella Ehrmann, whose vision is to give a modern twist to the traditional wine state by integrating a program of artistic residences.
Isabella Ehrmann, along with Sardinian Art Director Roberto Ortu, made possible the first project produced by the “Tenuta Tenaglia Residence”. The limited edition calendar, titled “Tenuta Tenaglia for Aboubakar Soumahoro”, will have a small run of 300 copies. The funds raised by this initiative will go to Aboubakar Soumahoro’s inclusive projects. Soumahoro is a renowned trade unionist, activist and the author of the book “Umanità in Rivolta”. His work is focused towards the defence of labor rights and to ensure the happiness of the “Invisible”, Italian and foreign citizens who have been crushed by inequalities.
The calendar is a product of Ortu’s artistic direction, his work was inspired by the eroticism found in the celebrated work of Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin and the cinema of Tinto Brass and Peter Greenaway. Some renowned young Italian and international creatives are already involved on this project. Some notable names include photographer Riccardo Raspa, Designer Daniel Sansavini, French Fashion Director of the famous Lui Magazine Dan Sablon, top model Malick Bodian and Isabella Potì, the youngest Chef awarded with the Michelin Star.
During the lockdown the Tenaglia Estate housed young emerging talents under strict safety regulations. This collaboration created with the Residence program, created a series of photographs that evoke the return to a sensual reality and aim to rediscover the relationship between man and nature.
